Commercial Driver's License Training

Blackhawk's Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program is an approved Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration provider that delivers high-quality, safe driver training skills to new drivers. We work with local and regional employers of commercial vehicle drivers to refresh experienced drivers and train new drivers. Endorsements include Class A restricted, Utility Vehicle Training, Municipal vehicle training, shuttle bus training and a full Class A license.

CDL Training Details

Blackhawk is an approved provider for the Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) required by the FMSCA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) for new drivers post February 2022.

Based on available resources, we are currently only serving our regional business partners through our corporate training programs only. These include full semi-trailer training and refresher courses along with training in medium duty, utility trucks, and shuttle busses. Please complete our if you are a current employer and seeking to sponsor a new or existing driver.

Workforce Grants

Workforce grant opportunities are designed to connect employers with technical colleges to provide training support in high demand fields. We can help you identify possible grant opportunities, assess your program’s eligibility and even review your application. Not sure where to start? Technical Skill Training

Training modules offered to incumbent workers on a flexible schedule that allow participants to obtain individual skill upgrades from the selection of academic credit classes that fit their schedule. We will meet with your company to customize a menu of courses that meet the needs of the employees while incorporating specific examples into the training. Questions?
